Course Content/Agenda

Delegates will learn three basic ceramic decorating techniques in one day.  Bisque, tools and supplies will be provided.  No previous experience is required.

Tube-lining (also known as slip trailing) involves squeezing a thin line of clay body through a nozzle.   Similar to working with engobes.

Antiquing (also known as distressing) is a decorative art “finish”.  The decoration intentionally looks destroyed or manipulated to look less than perfect resulting in an aged, weathered, rustic or vintage style.

Majolica is a decorating technique where brightly painted designs are applied over a background glaze (typically the background is a matt or satin white).
