We want to dispel the belief that ceramics can only be painted by a potter, ceramicist or someone with a kiln - THEY DON'T. It is only necessary to fire in a kiln if you require the item to be food-safe or you are a pottery painting business.
Otherwise, craft items can be decorated with papers, craft paint, emebellishments, foam putty, polymer clays (like Fimo and Sculpey) or any material that will stick to the ceramic surface.
Pottery blanks offer a versatile surface, often cheaper and smoother than wood and more functional than paper.

Mix our plaster powder with water and make decorative plasterwork, plaster moulds and plaster casting.
The plaster is white, durable and quick setting. Decorate with craft paints. Experiment with soap moulds or even the FIMO & Sculpey re-usuable polymer clay moulds. This is an easy, low-cost craft. Decorate plaster shapes with our great assortment of craft paints.
